Mark Peden is the architect of our global equity income strategy and has been the lead manager of the Aegon Global Equity Income Strategy since its inception in 2011. European equities are his main area of research expertise where he has been analysing companies since joining the industry and the firm in 1992. Over his tenure Mark has held a number of positions and managed a range of both International and European equity funds. He graduated from the University of York and the University of California (Santa Barbara) with a BSc honours degree in Economics with Politics. He a CFA charterholder and is also a Member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of the UK.

Robin Black is an investment manager within the global equities team. He has specific focus on Aegon AM Japanese portfolios and is also a support manager for our global equity income strategy. Robin joined the industry in 1995 and us in 2016 from Macquarie Group, where he worked as global head of Pan-Asian sales in Hong Kong. He later returned to London, where he was tasked with establishing a global equity sales team. Prior to Macquarie, he worked for Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and Martin Currie. Robin studied History and Economic History at the University of Aberdeen before obtaining an MSc in Project Analysis, Finance and Investment from the University of York. Additionally, he has an MSc in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling.
