He is responsible for managing the global emerging market strategy with a strong focus on security selection and portfolio construction. John Paul joined the firm in 2025. Prior to his current role, John Paul led the first diversified emerging markets equity strategy at Matthews Asia and held senior roles in emerging markets equities at Oppenheimer Funds. John Paul began his career as an analyst and associate at Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. He has a background in structured finance and possesses regional expertise across Latin America, India, and Asia. He received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service and a Master of Arts in Foreign Service degree both at Georgetown University.
