Roger G. Kuo serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Dodge & Cox. He joined the firm in 1998. Mr. Kuo received his B.A. degree (magna cum laude) from Harvard College in 1993 and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1998. Prior to entering graduate school, he worked at Bear Stearns as a financial analyst. During his tenure at Dodge & Cox, Mr. Kuo has held several senior leadership and investment roles, including Senior Vice President and Director (since 2016) and Vice President. He has served as a Research Analyst and has been a member of the firm’s Global Equity Investment Committee and International Equity Investment Committee. In addition, Mr. Kuo is President, Chair, and a Trustee of the Dodge & Cox Funds. He is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Bangayan received his B.A. degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard College in 1999. Prior to joining Dodge & Cox, he worked as an equity research associate at Epoch Partners. Mr. Bangayan joined Dodge & Cox in 2002 as a research associate and assumed equity research responsibilities in 2006. Mr. Bangayan is a shareholder of the firm and a CFA charterholder.

Raymond J. Mertens serves as Senior Vice President of Dodge & Cox. He joined the firm in 2003. Mr. Mertens received his A.B. (Bachelor of Arts) degree from Harvard College in 1994 and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 2003. Prior to entering graduate school, he held several investment-related roles, including serving as a Director at Idealab, a Private Equity Associate at TA Associates, and an Investment Banking Analyst at Alex. Brown. Mr. Mertens is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Somani received his B.S. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT in 2001 and his M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2007. Prior to graduate school, he worked as a private equity associate at Francisco Partners and a corporate finance analyst at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Somani joined Dodge & Cox in 2007 and is a shareholder of the firm and a CFA charterholder.

Ms. Chen joined Dodge & Cox in 2012 and is a shareholder of the firm. She received her B.A. degree (summa cum laude) in Economics and Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College in 2006 and earned her M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2012. Prior to joining Dodge & Cox, Ms. Chen worked at Tiger Asia Management as a Director covering Chinese equities, and previously at JP Morgan as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Consumer & Healthcare Group. Ms. Chen is a CFA charterholder.

David C. Hoeft serves as Chair and Chief Investment Officer at Dodge & Cox. He joined the firm in 1993. Mr. Hoeft received his B.A. degree (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Chicago in 1989 and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1993. Prior to entering graduate school, he worked for two years as a consultant to the energy industry. Over his tenure at Dodge & Cox, Mr. Hoeft has held a number of senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President and Director, Associate Director of Research (until 2019), and membership on the firm’s U.S. Equity Investment Committee (USEIC), Global Equity Investment Committee (GEIC), and Balanced Investment Committee (BIC) since May 2022. He has served as Chief Investment Officer since 2022. Mr. Hoeft is a CFA charterholder.
