Rob began his financial services career in 1993 with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. He joined Piper Jaffray in 1993 as a securities research analyst, focusing on retail and consumer services companies. In 1999 he joined US Bank, where he co-managed the firm’s small-cap equity mutual fund. He joined DGI in 2003. Over his nearly 20-year career at DGI, Rob has grown to become DGI’s largest shareholder. In addition to his responsibilities as a Lead Portfolio Manager, co-managing DGI’s Mid, Small, and Balanced strategies, Rob is DGI’s Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he oversees the firm’s investment philosophy and process. He also leads several DGI client accounts. Oversees all investment aspect of Disciplined Growth Investors as the Chief Investment Officer and also an active member of the investment team. Fred developed the disciplined investment processes that is fundamental to DGI's success. As the self proclaimed "keeper of the culture" Fred mentors all senior members of the firm to help build a sustainable entity through multiple generations.
