Mike Mufson, CFA is Co-Founder, CIO and Portfolio Manager. He co-founded Redwood Investments in 2004 and has 36 years of investment experience. He serves as Co-CIO and Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the Redwood investment team. Previously, Michael was Managing Director and Director of Specialty Growth Equity at Putnam Investments where he managed several funds including the Putnam OTC & Emerging Growth Portfolio and TH Lee Putnam Emerging Opportunities Portfolio. Mike received his M.B.A. from Emory University and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University. He is a CFA charterholder.

Ezra Samet, CFA is Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst on the Redwood investment team and has 18 years of experience. He started his career at Redwood as a Trader and Investment Associate and was promoted to Research Analyst and then Portfolio Manager, where he launched the International Developed Markets, International Small Cap and Emerging Markets strategies. Previously, Ezra worked as an Associate at Rochester Management Corp., a commercial real estate firm. Ezra received a B.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University and is a CFA charterholder.

Alexi Makkas is Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst on the Redwood investment team and has 30 years of investment experience. Before joining Redwood, he was Lead Portfolio Manager for the Beacon Growth Equity Team at Wells Fargo Asset Management. Prior to that, he was a Senior Equity Analyst at Alydar Capital. Alexi also held several roles at State Street Global Advisors, most recently as Co-Lead Senior Portfolio Manager/Analyst for the small/mid cap team, covering the consumer sectors, industrials, technology hardware, semiconductors and utilities. Alexi received his M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his B.A. from Bucknell University, graduating cum laude.
