Agnes Hong is Vice President and Senior Investment Strategist for Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. (CSIM). She is responsible for driving strategic initiatives across CSIM's passive equity business, and evolving the investment and operational capabilities for all of CSIM's passive equity strategies including the Schwab equity index funds and ETFs and the Schwab Fundamental Index Funds and ETFs.
Prior to joining CSIM in 2009, Ms. Hong spent five years as a portfolio manager at Barclays Global Investors (subsequently acquired by BlackRock), where she managed institutional index funds and quantitative active funds. Prior to that, Ms. Hong worked in management consulting and product management, servicing global financial services clients.
Ms. Hong earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Accounting from the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia). She is a CFA® charterholder, and a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.
